We also realize that no one person or website owner has all the answers. We understand that most information about this hobby is out their somewhere on the net, but most of the time it is cumbersome to find or filter through. There are alot of forums for this hobby and some are really good, but unfortunately alot of them force you to read page after page of general chat before an answer can be found, if there was even one at end of the long chain of pages. We believe there should be a seperation of community/socializing and experience/information. We want the content on FishDB to reflect the collective knowledge of aquarists everywhere, be straight forward and easy to find and to help others in their endeavors regardless of how long they have been in the hobby. With that being said, we are trying to encourage members to share their experiences. We have emplemented several member levels that are all FREE but require small amounts of member experience sharing to move to the next level. Sharing is as simple as posting 'commentary' about a particular specimen or family type on their respective database pages. The post does not have to be a long in-depth analysis, but rather just simply something you think another member might find helpful. Each level is rewarded with an increasing degree of priveledges. Below is a list of these levels, their priveledges and the requirements to obtain each one. We hope you enjoy the site, contribute when you can and benefit from what others have posted as well.
